About this place
Yamatohime no Miya is a shrine in Kusubecho, Ise, Mie. It is a betsugu of the Naiku (Kotai Jingu). At Ise Jingu, together with the Naiku and Geku, there are 14 betsugu such as Aramatsuri no Miya, Taga no Miya, Tsukiyomi no Miya, Tsuchi no Miya, Tsukuyomi no Miya, Takihara no Miya, Izawa no Miya, Kazahinomi no Miya and Kaze no Miya, but of these only Yamatohime no Miya has a clearly known founding, on November 5, 1923 (Taisho 12), making it the newest. Its deity is Yamatohime no Mikoto, said in Japanese mythology to be the fourth princess of the 11th emperor, Emperor Suinin.
