The birthplace of the saying about being led to Zenkoji by an ox. A hall built out over the cliff.
Komoro Castle, abolished in 1871, was bought back by former retainers and made a park, designed by Seiroku Honda.
About 400 trees, centred on the riding ground above the Chikuma River. Many varieties bloom at different times, so the season is long.
An Edo-period main inn and an important cultural property. It is now under preservation repair, due to be completed in fiscal 2027.
