The Terayama Charcoal Kiln Site (English: Terayama Charcoal Kiln) is a stone-built kiln site in Yoshino-cho, Kagoshima, Kagoshima Prefecture, where charcoal used in the Shuseikan projects was made. It was established in 1858 (Ansei 5) on the orders of Shimazu Nariakira, lord of the Satsuma domain, at Terayama in Yoshino Village near Kagoshima, Kagoshima District, Satsuma Province (now the Terayama district of Yoshino-cho, Kagoshima).
