About this place
Kurashiki Hanpu is a trademark name registered by two companies, Byston Co., Ltd. and Heart Planning Co., Ltd. It is canvas produced around Kurashiki, Okayama Prefecture, and is not a general name for domestic canvas produced in accordance with the old JIS standards. The area around Kurashiki, Okayama Prefecture, along with the Takashima district of Shiga Prefecture, is a major production area of domestic canvas.
