About this place
Kibiji is an area name and popular name of a region in Okayama Prefecture. Kibiji is the collective name for the area from the north-west of Okayama (parts of Ashimori, Takamatsu, Makane and Ichinomiya) to Soja, and is a famous tourist area. It sometimes also includes Mabicho, now part of Kurashiki, and the north of Sho, Kurashiki. Besides being developed as a tourist area, a cycling-only road (Kibiji Cycling Road) runs through the countryside spreading across the area, making it possible to tour the sights from Okayama to Soja by bicycle.
