About this place
The Hakone Old Highway is part of the old Tokaido in Hakone, Ashigarashimo District, Kanagawa Prefecture, Mishima, Shizuoka Prefecture, and Kannami, Tagata District, and is a nationally designated historic site. The designation covers the stone pavement and the ichirizuka (mileposts) of the Hakone Hachiri. March 8, 1922 (Taisho 11) - the Nishikida Ichirizuka, later merged into this historic site, was designated a historic site. A milepost built at the 28-ri point from Nihonbashi on the basis of an order of 1604 (Keicho 9). It is located in Nishikida Village, Tagata District, Shizuoka Prefecture (now Mishima).
