About this place
Michi-no-Eki Springs Hiyoshi is a roadside station on Kyoto Prefectural Route 19 Sonobe-Hirayasu Line in Nakamiyanomukai, Hiyoshi-cho, Nantan, Kyoto Prefecture. Springs Hiyoshi opened in 1998 (Heisei 10) in connection with the construction of Hiyoshi Dam, for the purposes of regional revitalization and securing employment. Later, to counter competition with surrounding tourist facilities and increase users, it was registered as a Michi-no-Eki in 2011 (Heisei 23). It opened as 'Michi-no-Eki Springs Hiyoshi' on October 1 of that year.
