About this place
Hitsujiyama Park is a park in Omiya, Chichibu, Saitama Prefecture. It is known for the 'Shibazakura Hill', planted all over with moss phlox, and is crowded with many tourists during the flowering season from early April to early May each year. It stands on the Hitsujiyama hills, which extend northward in a ridge from Mount Buko, with a view of the whole of Chichibu city to the west and a close view of the majestic form of Mount Buko to the south. A small valley in the centre divides the park into north and south; the northern block has the 'Miharashi Hill' and others, and the southern block has the 'Shibazakura Hill' and others.
