About this place
Kurashiki Museum of Folk Crafts (Kurashiki Museum of Folk Crafts) is an Okayama Prefecture registered museum in Kurashiki, Okayama Prefecture, that preserves and exhibits folk crafts from around the world related to daily life. It is operated by the Kurashiki Museum of Folk Crafts, a public interest incorporated foundation. It is located in the Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings "Kurashiki Riverside (Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter)." In 1948 (Showa 23), members and volunteers of the Okayama Prefectural Folk Crafts Association reused a late Edo-period rice storehouse, and folk crafts from various places were donated, and it opened.
