About this place
Akita silver filigree is a traditional craft produced in Akita Prefecture. It is designated an Akita Prefecture traditional craft and a Designated Intangible Cultural Property of Akita City. It is silverwork in which parts are made from twisted wire of two pure silver wires of 0.2 to 0.3 mm in diameter and set into a silver frame to form the shape.
