Akita Prefectural Museum of Art Akita Prefectural Museum of Art, Masakichi Hirano Collection - an art museum in Akita, Akita Prefecture, within Area Nakaichi. It opened in 2013 with the collection moved from the former prefectural art museum (Masakichi Hirano Museum of Art), which opened in 1967. Akita Museum of Modern Art - an art museum in Yokote, Akita Prefecture, within the Akita Furusato Mura facility. It opened in 1994.
