About this place
Magemono are containers made by bending thinly shaved cypress, cedar or similar wood into a circle and binding the joint with birch or cherry bark. A craftsman who makes magemono is called a magemonoshi, and a bending craftsman in particular a mageshi. Magemono are said to have been used as daily goods since ancient times.
