About this place
Mino Washi no Sato Kaikan is a museum in Mino, Gifu Prefecture, on the theme of "Mino washi." It reopened after renovation on April 15, 2017 (Heisei 29). In addition to introducing the history and production process of Mino washi, it is a participatory facility with a workshop where visitors can try papermaking and more. Exhibition Room 1 - Introduction to the history and techniques of Mino washi and the tools used in papermaking. Comparative exhibits with washi from around the country. Exhibition Room 2 - Introduction to various daily goods made with Mino washi.
