About this place
The Jiro Osaragi Memorial Museum is a memorial museum of the writer Jiro Osaragi at 113 Yamate-cho, Naka Ward, Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture. It is next to the Harbour View Park. It was designed by Shintaro Urabe. After Jiro Osaragi's death, Yokohama received the donation of his books and favourite items from his family, and built the memorial museum to house them in the Yamate district of Yokohama, the setting of his works "Muteki" (Foghorn) and "Kikyo" (Homecoming); it opened on 1 May 1978.
