About this place
Yatsushiro City Museum and Mirai no Mori Museum is a municipal museum in Yatsushiro, Kumamoto Prefecture. It had been closed, but reopened on May 1, 2026. It opened in October 1991 (Heisei 3). It exhibits pottery excavated around Yatsushiro and tools of the Edo period, and introduces the history of the Yatsushiro area from ancient times to the present and the lives of its people.
