About this place
The Jingu Chokokan is a public interest project of Ise Jingu. According to Article 63 of the Jingu Rules, the shrine's rules as a religious corporation, its purpose is "to display and preserve materials that show the origins of the Jingu and the changes in Japanese culture and make them available to the public, and also to carry out projects contributing to the promotion and development of industry, so as to improve culture." It is a "comprehensive museum of history and culture" that exhibits the history of veneration of the Jingu and Japanese culture.
