About this place
Okage Yokocho is a tourist attraction in front of the Kotai Jingu (Naiku) of Ise Jingu in Ise, Mie Prefecture, recreating the townscape of a town in front of the torii gate from the late Edo period to the early Meiji era, when okage-mairi (Ise pilgrimage) was thriving. It is operated by Ise Fuku Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Akafuku Co., Ltd., which produces and sells the Ise speciality Akafuku mochi. It is in the middle of Oharaimachi and is one of the leading tourist spots of Ise-Shima.
