About this place
Karuizawa New Art Museum (English: KARUIZAWA NEW ART MUSEUM) is a private museum centered on contemporary art in Karuizawa, Kitasaku District, Nagano Prefecture. It is located along the main avenue leading from Karuizawa Station on the Hokuriku Shinkansen and Shinano Railway toward Kyu-Karuizawa Ginza, just past the Shinonome intersection. Based on an all-glass structure with white pillars designed to evoke a larch forest standing in rows, the museum opened in April 2012.
