About this place
Okaya Silk Museum is a museum (a facility equivalent to a museum) in Okaya, Nagano Prefecture. Its nickname is Silk Fact Okaya. Its official name under the city ordinance is Okaya City Silk Museum. On April 15, 1945 (Showa 20), the Silk Memorial Hall, the predecessor of the Silk Museum, opened as part of the library (now the Okaya City Library).
