About this place
Tabuchi Yukio Memorial Museum is an Azumino City memorial museum displaying works and belongings of Tabuchi Yukio (1905-1989), a mountain photographer and researcher of alpine butterflies. It is a member facility of the Azumino Art Line. In his lifetime, with the conviction that "knowledge read and learned from nature is the most correct," Tabuchi repeatedly climbed in Azumino and the Northern Alps while continuing to photograph alpine butterflies and mountains.
