About this place
The Niigata Prefectural Museum of Modern Art is a prefectural art museum located in "Chiakigahara Furusato no Mori" in Nagaoka, Niigata Prefecture. The current director is Sawada Keizo. It opened in July 1993, and permanently displays works under the themes "World Art," "Japanese Art" and "Niigata Art." Special exhibitions change every one to two months, and there are also events such as exploring the inside of the museum.
