About this place
Matsudai "Nohbutai" is an art museum and local museum holding contemporary art at 3743-1 Matsudai, Tokamachi, Niigata Prefecture. Its official name is Matsudai Snow Country Agrarian Culture Village Center "Nohbutai." It was built to coincide with the 2nd Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale (Art Festival of the Earth) in 2003. The surrounding area, including Mount Shiroyama, forms the Matsudai "Nohbutai" Field Museum.
