About this place
Niigata City Art Museum is a Niigata municipal art museum at 5191-9 Nishiohatamachi, Chuo Ward, Niigata. Its English name is "Niigata City Art Museum." The site is the former site of Niigata Prison. It opened on October 13, 1985, and set out three mottos: "look, create, talk." In 2011 the operating structure was revised, and in 2012 five new pillars of operating policy were formulated.
