Hita (日田市, Hita-shi) is a city located in Ōita Prefecture, Japan. As of 30 November 2023, the city had an estimated population of 61,148 in 27,556 households, and a population density of 96 persons per km2. The total area of the city is 666.03 km2 (257.16 sq mi).
