About this place
Kurashiki Ivy Square (English: KURASHIKI IVY SQUARE) is a complex tourism facility centered on a hotel in Kurashiki, Okayama Prefecture. Designed by Urabe Shizutaro. This facility is the former factory of the founding of Kurabo (Kurashiki Spinning), built in 1889 (Meiji 22) on the site of the Edo shogunate's magistrate's office; it was renovated in 1973 (Showa 48) and revived as a tourism facility. It is managed and operated by Kurashiki Ivy Square Co., Ltd., an affiliate of Kurabo, and is still Kurabo's registered address.
