About this place
Tsuyama Museum of Western Learning is a museum specializing in Western learning, in the Joto Townscape Preservation District in Tsuyama, Okayama Prefecture. Because the Mimasaka region, including Tsuyama, produced many outstanding scholars of Western learning who contributed to the modernization of Japan, it opened on March 19, 1978 (Showa 53) as a research facility for Western learning, and carries out research on related materials and historic sites.
