About this place
The Karahori Shopping Street is a shopping street in the southeastern part of Chuo Ward, Osaka. It is the western half of Karahori-dori, the remains of the Osaka Castle southern outer moat that was filled in after the Winter Siege of Osaka, an arcaded shopping street about 800 m east to west on the Chuo Ward side, from Matsuyamachi-suji to Uemachi-suji. In March 2009 it was selected as one of the "77 New Hardworking Shopping Streets."
