About this place
SKIP City is a facility for video production in Kawaguchi, Saitama Prefecture. It opened on February 1, 2003, as an industry-government-academia redevelopment project on the former site of the NHK Kawaguchi Radio Transmitting Station. SKIP comes from the initials of Saitama Kawaguchi Intelligent Park. The site where SKIP City stands was formerly the NHK Kawaguchi Radio Transmitting Station, which transmitted Japan Broadcasting Corporation (NHK) Radio 1.
