Overview
One of the few museums in Japan collecting book art - the made book itself treated as the work.
About this place
Urawa Art Museum is a public (municipal) art museum of Saitama City in Nakacho 2-chome, Urawa Ward, Saitama, Saitama Prefecture. It is on the 3rd floor of Urawa Century City, a 7-minute walk from the west exit of JR East Urawa Station. Because art works related to books are at the center of its collection, many of its holdings take the form of books, such as pop-up picture books. It also has works related to Urawa painters. It displays works mainly through special exhibitions and has no permanent exhibition.
