About this place
Taikodani Inari Shrine is a shrine in Tsuwano, Kanoashi District, Shimane Prefecture. It is a Beppyo shrine and its former shrine rank was village shrine. Popularly called "Tsuwano no Oinari-san." It is sometimes regarded as one of the Three Great Inari Shrines of Japan, but is generally counted as one of the Five Great Inari Shrines of Japan, and its annual number of worshippers is second in Shimane Prefecture after Izumo Taisha.
