About this place
Ashikaga Flower Park (English: Ashikaga Flower Park) is a flower theme park in Hazamacho, Ashikaga, Tochigi Prefecture. It is one of the Three Famous Sights of Ashikaga. The park originated when the father of its president Hayakawa, a large landowner in Horikomicho, Ashikaga, Tochigi Prefecture (now Asakuracho), planted a large wisteria in a corner of his garden in the 1920s. So that people in the area could enjoy that large wisteria, the garden was renovated in 1968 (Showa 43) and the Hayakawa Farm, the predecessor of Ashikaga Flower Park, was established.
