In a town of toy factories, collecting mass-produced Showa toys as design objects.
About this place
Mibu Town Toy Museum is a town-run corporate toy museum inside Mibu Town General Park (Michi-no-Eki Mibu) in Mibu, Shimotsuga District, Tochigi Prefecture. Its abbreviated name is "Omo-haku." It is operated by the Mibu Town Facilities Promotion Corporation under the designated manager system. The town has Omocha no Machi, an industrial park where factories and warehouses of toy makers are gathered, and the museum was built because of this close connection with toys. The exterior of the building takes a medieval Western castle as its motif.
