About this place
The Okada Memorial Museum is a museum in Kaemon-cho, Tochigi, Tochigi Prefecture. It is the residence of Kaemon Okada, who developed the area, opened to the public, and as of 2020 his descendants still live there. It displays the jinya (administrative office) and storehouse handed down in the Okada family, and inside exhibits works of art, armour and weapons, historical documents, kimono and tools, including Tangible Cultural Properties designated by Tochigi Prefecture. About 100 m west of the memorial museum is the Okinajima Villa, a Registered Tangible Cultural Property of Japan.
