About this place
Tokushima Prefectural Awa Jurobe Yashiki is the site of the residence of Bando Jurobe, known for the ningyo joruri play Keisei Awa no Naruto, in Kawauchicho, Tokushima, Tokushima Prefecture. Selected as one of the Tokushima 88 Views. Designated an Awa History and Culture Road. It exhibits wooden puppets and materials used in ningyo joruri, and Awa ningyo joruri performances are also held. A piece written for preventing "ore ore" fraud, planned by the Tokushima Prefectural Police, "Keisei Denwa Naru to - Ore Ore Sagi no Dan," was also performed.
