Higashi-Iya Ochiai is a town name in Miyoshi, Tokushima Prefecture. The postal code is 778-0202. Selected as a National Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings. It is a mountainous area in the east of Miyoshi, bordered by Tsurugi Town, Mima District, and Higashi-Iya Sugo to the east, Higashimiyoshi Town, Miyoshi District, to the north, Higashi-Iya Kubo to the south, and Higashi-Iya Okunoi and Nishi-Iyayama Village Ko-Iya to the west. In recent years it has been called the "Village in the Sky," and the whole area has been selected as a National Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings.
