Overview
An art university's museum out in the town, linking its research to the public.
About this place
Tama Art University Museum is an affiliated facility of Tama Art University. As of 2025 it is closed, and preparations are under way for its reopening after renovation. The history of the Tama Art University Museum goes back to the Art Reference Room opened in 1964 in the library building of the Kaminoge Campus. About 400 items of the collection were on permanent display there. This facility moved to the Hachioji Campus in the 1970s and, probably in line with this, changed its name slightly to become the Art Reference Museum.
