About this place
The Uozu Buried Forest Museum (Uozu Buried Forest Museum) is a public museum in Shakado, Uozu, Toyama Prefecture. It exhibits the Uozu Buried Forest, designated a Special Natural Monument of Japan, and introduces the mirages that appear over Toyama Bay. It is a member of the Japanese Association of Museums and the Toyama Prefecture Museum Association. The area where the Uozu Buried Forest Museum stands lies within the Tateyama Kurobe Geopark, which has been certified as a geopark, and it also presents and exhibits these.
