About this place
The Yuki no Sato Information Hall is a museum in Shinjo, Yamagata Prefecture. It is located along National Route 458. It was set up on the site of the 'former Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry Snowy Region Rural Economy Research Institute', established in 1933 through the movement for relief from snow damage, with part of the original building preserved and restored, and opened in 1997. It holds the materials surveyed and collected, and materials on snow country and the rural economy collected as the institutions changed afterwards.
