About this place
Akita Meijo Co., Ltd. is a liquor-making company in Yuzawa, Akita Prefecture. It is known as the brewer of the sake brand Bishu Ranman. In the middle of the Taisho period, it was established with investment from the main sake breweries of Akita Prefecture and local business leaders, in order to set up mass production of sake and expand the market for Akita-made sake in Tokyo and other major urban areas.
