About this place
Takefu Knife Village is a cooperative in Yokawa-cho, Echizen, Fukui Prefecture, that makes and sells Echizen forged blades. It now ships Echizen forged blades not only within Japan but also overseas. 1982 Decides on the unified brand Takefu Knife Village for products developed with Kawasaki Kazuo. 1987 Holds the Takefu Knife Village Exhibition at the AXIS Building in Roppongi, Tokyo. 1985 Cleus, Altus and 11 other items become Good Design Long Life Design Award products.
