About this place
Gifu Auto Body Co., Ltd. (English name: Gifu Auto Body Co., Ltd.) is an automobile assembly maker belonging to the Toyota Auto Body group. From its founding, it became the only truck maker in Gifu Prefecture. It began when Hoshino Kentaro, Kawashima Nobuo and Nojiri Tokichi, who had met through an introduction from Kawai Toshiyuki, manager of the Juroku Bank Yanagase Branch, joined forces and established it on 1 October 1940 (Showa 15).
