About this place
Mukai Shuzo Co., Ltd. is a sake brewery in Ine, Yosa District, Kyoto Prefecture. Founded in 1754 (4th year of Horeki). The brewery stands in a corner of the group of funaya boathouses facing the sea. Founded in 1754 (4th year of Horeki). When transport networks were undeveloped, sake was carried by boat from the landing next to the brewery to Miyazu. The current master brewer (toji) is Mukai Kuniko. At Mukai Shuzo both the head and his wife are graduates of Tokyo University of Agriculture, and they are eager to make new sake. In Ine, the brewery that carries the signboard of the representative brand "Kyo no Haru" is regarded as a symbol of the town.
