About this place
Miyazaki Honten Co., Ltd. is a Japanese brewer in Kusucho, Yokkaichi, Mie Prefecture (formerly Kusucho, Mie District). It makes and sells alcoholic beverages such as sake and shochu using Iga rice from Mie Prefecture and other ingredients. It has been known for shochu since its founding in 1846 (3rd year of Koka), and "Kin Miya Shochu" is a brand of continuous-distilled (Class A) shochu enjoyed in izakaya in Tokyo and the Kanto region. In 2020 (Reiwa 2), sales rose 7% over the previous year to 6.6 billion yen, ranking 10th among shochu and awamori makers nationwide.
