About this place
Miyasaka Jozo Co., Ltd. is a liquor maker with its head office in Suwa, Nagano Prefecture. It is one of the five Suwa breweries. 1662 (Kanbun 2) - Founded as a sake-brewing business in Kamisuwa-machi, Suwa District, Shinano Province (now Suwa, Nagano Prefecture). 1916 (Taisho 5) - Establishes the Marutaka Factory in Kamisuwa-machi, Suwa District, Nagano Prefecture (now Suwa) and begins making miso and soy sauce. 1932 (Showa 7) - Establishes a miso factory in Tokyo City, Tokyo Prefecture (now Nakano Ward, Tokyo).
