About this place
Yukinomoto Honten Co., Ltd. (Yukinomoto Honten Co., Ltd) is a pharmaceutical maker with its head office in Kashihara, Nara Prefecture. The birthplace of the first Fujimoto Sakujiro was a pharmacist family in Tawaramoto, and perhaps because he had experience and interest in making and selling patent medicines, after entering the Fujimoto family at 19 he himself aspired to the pharmaceutical business. He founded the predecessor, Otaniya Fujimoto Yakubo, at Otani, Mosuga Village, Takaichi District (now Otanicho, Kashihara), and began making and selling chapped-skin ointment, Tsuchi ointment, quick-acting headache plaster Yukizakura, Fujimoto Bannoyaku and more.
