About this place
Yucho Shuzo Co., Ltd. is a sake maker based at 1160 Gose, Nara Prefecture, a long-established brewery founded in 1719 (4th year of Kyoho). It continues a method committed to unfiltered, undiluted sake. Its main brands, called "Nara sake," are "Takacho," "Kaze no Mori" and "Mizuhata." It was among the first to make and bring out the then-trendy nama sake, and nama sake makes up 90% of its products. On the other hand, it also does jar brewing following Muromachi-period brewing methods. It upholds coexistence and co-prosperity with agriculture, local production for local consumption, and aims to pass sake on to the next era.
