Iwatsuka Confectionery Co., Ltd. (English name: IWATSUKA CONFECTIONERY CO.,LTD.) is a rice cracker maker with its head office in Nagaoka, Niigata Prefecture. The founder had a saying, "A processed farm product can never be better than its raw material," and the company insists on using 100% domestic rice. It was founded in 1947 (Showa 22) in Iwatsuka Village, Mishima District, Niigata Prefecture (now Nagaoka) as Iwatsuka Nosan Kakojo. At the time of its founding it made starch syrup, starch, caramel and similar products.
