About this place
Kameda Seika Co., Ltd. (English name: KAMEDA SEIKA CO.,LTD.) is a Japanese company with its head office in Konan Ward, Niigata, Niigata Prefecture, that mainly makes rice crackers such as senbei and arare, and other confectionery. It is Japan's largest rice cracker maker. In 1946, farmers of Kameda Town, Nakakanbara District, pooled their money to form the Kamedago Farmers' Association, opened a contract processing plant in Motomachi (the present Motomachi Factory and the site of its related companies), and began making starch syrup.
