About this place
Imayotsukasa Shuzo Co., Ltd. is a sake brewery in Niigata founded in 1767. Since 2006 it has switched to brewing entirely with junmai methods, rare in Japan, with no added brewer's alcohol at all, producing only junmai daiginjo, junmai ginjo and junmai sake. It also runs brewery tours and a direct sales shop, and took first place in TripAdvisor's Niigata sightseeing ranking (fiscal 2017).
