About this place
Tazmo Co., Ltd. is a maker of semiconductor manufacturing equipment and liquid-crystal-related equipment, with its head office in Kita Ward, Okayama, Okayama Prefecture. In bonding and debonding equipment for power semiconductors, it holds about 90% of the world market. On 26 February 1972, three design engineers from the planning department of an affiliated company became independent and founded Tazmo Co., Ltd. in Ibara, Okayama Prefecture, to manufacture and repair electronic equipment parts. The company name Tazmo (Ryuun) was taken from the name of a monk connected with the founder.
